I specialize in helping clients learn to work through, manage, and cope with difficult emotions associated with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional and physical pain, anger, mental health diagnoses, aging, chronic illness, and generational family difficulties.

I'm passionate about helping clients find a way forward when they are faced with difficult life transitions, such as divorce, grief, loss, shifts in family dynamics, empty nests, retirement, chronic illness, aging parents, or sudden career changes.

STRUGGLING WITH

AT TURNING POINT IN YOUR
Relationship?
Relationships are vital for us as humans, when they are damaged, lost, or become difficult to maintain, we suffer . . .
“connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” ~ Brené Brown.

“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding,
shame can't survive.”

About
Change is the only constant in life . . . Heraclitus
The one thing I do understand is life is not stagnant, change is the constant, sometimes just when we think we have it figured out, life tends to throw us a curve ball. Change can be exciting, terrifying, or freeing, sometimes all at once.
Many events or milestones in life usher in changes that can leave us feeling anxious, depressed, indecisive, resistant, unsure of relationships, our emotions, our abilities to cope, and can frequently cause us to doubt our resiliency. When you or your loved one are struggling to cope with difficult life events, trauma, or mental health issues, I am passionate about helping identify the issues, find solutions, develop skills, and create that life worth living.
I work with:
-
Preteens and adolescents struggling to cope with home, school, peers, social media, and other pressures often unique to them.
-
Young adults trying to find their way forward in life
-
Parents and families striving to find harmony whether beginning a family, fostering, adopting, establishing family values and goals, negotiating the teen years, facing an empty nest, or caring for aging parents.
-
Adults and Couples facing changing landscapes in personal relationships, the workplace, career shifts, retirement, or embracing the challenges of aging themselves.
-
Individuals navigating the difficulties of mental health issues
-
Individuals surviving domestic and narcissistic abuse
In working with you, your child, or family, I draw from training in:
-
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed therapy
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Mindfulness
-
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
-
